The TP4056 1A Li-Ion Battery Charger with Protection is a compact and efficient module designed for charging single-cell lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries. Equipped with overcharge, over-discharge, and overcurrent protection, this charger ensures reliable and safe charging for your batteries.

Characteristics


  1. Charge Current:
    • Programmable using an onboard resistor.
    • Default current: 1A (can be adjusted by replacing the Rprog resistor).
  2. Charging Algorithm:
    • CC/CV Mode: Constant Current (CC) and Constant Voltage (CV) for optimal charging.
    • Preconditioning for deeply discharged batteries.
  3. Protections:
    • Overcharge Protection:
      • Stops charging when the voltage reaches 4.2V ± 1%.
    • Over-Discharge Protection:
      • Disconnects the battery below ~2.4V to prevent damage.

  2. IN+ and IN-: Alternate solder pads for external power input (4.5V to 5.5V).
